ARTIST BIO
Being a designer is never as easy as people perceive from the outside. A lot of it is to balance a new innovative idea with clarity, with style and with respect to the products you’re representing, even if that product is you. That’s one of the hardest things to learn as a designer and although in my 5 years working on it I’m still learning I’ve also expanded my abilities further every day. Incorporating my previous skills into the craft seamlessly by integrating my unique perspective of an alternative type into my designs and even more adding character to them all.
As a child I was always very different in how I approached things, even being dubbed a drama queen by my great grandmother, I knew at an early age my life belonged to the arts. Art has always been something I’ve wanted to pursue as a career, first as a singer and now as a designer. As my tastes matured into this new art form I learned I could combine my musical interests with my design tastes. I can easily find myself lost in designs by simply listening to music as I work that reflects the mood the piece is actively looking for.
With this I’m able to come up with more ideas quickly and make a certain message or mood come across better than most. In addition, I tend to use my Visual Creative Arts background from Sheridan and the amount of critiques I’ve gotten on old designs to bolster myself as a designer.

Often reflecting on old feedback I was given on old projects I find similar to current or even finding a way to mix classical paint media with the digital space to make more effective designs in a sometimes quicker manner. My aim as a designer is to make new and alternative designs that could interest people the way great designers in the past always have with my own unique stylings and as an alternative style person, I believe I can do that better than others. Designing has to be one of the most enjoyable experiences for me as it gives me the ability to combine all of my skills with a form I care so much about. This comes off in all my designs and when an audience sees it completed, they can feel it too.
